sneaking into an abandoned locomotive assembly plant in ferguson, Missouri. One whole wall perforated with bullet holes, light popping through like stars. On the roof, one can see the 1400-year-old cahokia mounds on the other side of the river. now a vanished culture. we visited on school field trips as a kid. there would have been some mounds on this side of the river too if not for the railroad boom.
